Furthermore, in the case referred to in the first paragraph of the preceding article, the court may order an investigation to be conducted by the judge-commissioner (rechter-commissaris) in accordance with the provisions of Article 316.

In this case, the proceedings shall be treated as if the investigation has been stayed for an indefinite period.

Ook kan, in het geval bij het eerste lid van het voorgaande artikel bedoeld, de rechtbank overeenkomstig de bepalingen van artikel 316 een onderzoek door den rechter-commissaris doen plaats vinden.
2.
In dit geval wordt gehandeld als ware het onderzoek voor onbepaalden tijd geschorst.
