Investigative officers are authorised, in the interest of the investigation, to examine means of transport with a view to compliance with the regulations referred to in Articles 1 and 1a, insofar as this is reasonably necessary for the performance of their duties.
They are authorized, in the interest of investigation, to examine means of transport with which, in their reasonable judgment, goods are being transported, regarding their cargo with a view to compliance with the regulations referred to in Articles 1 and 1a, insofar as this is reasonably necessary for the performance of their duties.
They are authorised to demand from the operator of a means of transport the inspection of the legally prescribed documents with a view to compliance with the regulations referred to in Articles 1 and 1a, insofar as this is reasonably necessary for the performance of their duties.
For the purpose of exercising these powers, they are authorised to require the driver of a vehicle or the skipper of a vessel to bring their means of transport to a halt and to move it to a location designated by them, insofar as this is reasonably necessary for the performance of their duties.
The costs of transfer shall be borne by the person concerned, if a criminal offence is established.
The powers mentioned in this article may also be exercised against persons who transport goods.
De opsporingsambtenaren zijn bevoegd in het belang van de opsporing vervoermiddelen te onderzoeken met het oog op de naleving van de voorschriften, bedoeld in de artikelen 1 en 1a, voor zover dat redelijkerwijs voor de vervulling van hun taak nodig is.
Zij zijn bevoegd in het belang van de opsporing vervoermiddelen waarmee naar hun redelijk oordeel zaken worden vervoerd op hun lading te onderzoeken met het oog op de naleving van de voorschriften, bedoeld in de artikelen 1 en 1a, voor zover dat redelijkerwijs voor de vervulling van hun taak nodig is.
Zij zijn bevoegd van de bestuurder van een vervoermiddel inzage te vorderen van de wettelijk voorgeschreven bescheiden met het oog op de naleving van de voorschriften, bedoeld in de artikelen 1 en 1a, voor zover dat redelijkerwijs voor de vervulling van hun taak nodig is.
Zij zijn bevoegd met het oog op de uitoefening van deze bevoegdheden van de bestuurder van een voertuig of van de schipper van een vaartuig te vorderen dat deze zijn vervoermiddel stilhoudt en naar een door hen aangewezen plaats overbrengt, voor zover dat redelijkerwijs voor de vervulling van hun taak nodig is.
De kosten van overbrenging komen ten laste van de betrokkene, indien een strafbaar feit wordt vastgesteld.
De in dit artikel genoemde bevoegdheden kunnen tevens worden uitgeoefend jegens personen, die zaken vervoeren.
