If an interested party has reasonable grounds to assume that data designated as authentic by or pursuant to this Act, or non-authentic data, is incorrect, or has been wrongly included in or wrongly omitted from the vehicle registration register, they may, stating those grounds, submit a petition to the Netherlands Vehicle Authority (Dienst Wegverkeer) for the amendment, deletion, or inclusion of that data.
The Netherlands Vehicle Authority (Dienst Wegverkeer) shall decide on the amendment, deletion, or inclusion of the relevant data pursuant to a petition as referred to in the first paragraph and shall notify the interested party who submitted the petition of this decision.
Indien een belanghebbende gegronde redenen heeft om aan te nemen dat een gegeven dat bij of krachtens deze wet als authentiek is aangemerkt of een niet-authentiek gegeven onjuist of ten onrechte wel, dan wel ten onrechte niet in het kentekenregister is opgenomen, kan hij onder opgave van die redenen aan de Dienst Wegverkeer een verzoek doen tot wijziging, verwijdering of opneming van dat gegeven.
De Dienst Wegverkeer beslist naar aanleiding van een verzoek als bedoeld in het eerste lid over wijziging, verwijdering of opneming van het betreffende gegeven en bericht de belanghebbende die het verzoek heeft gedaan over deze beslissing.
