1).

This Act shall, in the relations between the countries to which it applies and to the extent that it applies, replace the Paris Convention of 20 March 1883 and the subsequent Acts of revision.

a).

For the countries to which this Act does not apply, or does not apply in its entirety, but for which the Lisbon Act of 31 October 1958 is applicable, the latter shall remain in force in its entirety, or to the extent that the present Act does not replace it by virtue of the first paragraph.

b).

In the same manner, for the countries to which this Act, or parts thereof, or the Lisbon Act does not apply, the London Act of 2 June 1934 shall remain in force in its entirety, or to the extent that the present Act does not replace it by virtue of the first paragraph.

c).

In the same manner, for countries to which neither this Act, or parts thereof, nor the Lisbon Act, nor the London Act applies, the Hague Act of 6 November 1925 shall remain in force in its entirety or to the extent that the present Act does not replace it by virtue of the first paragraph.

3).

Countries that are not members of the Union, which become party to this Act, shall apply it in respect of any Union country that is not party to this Act or that, while being a party, has made the declaration referred to in Article 20, paragraph 1, under letter b) sub i). These countries agree that the aforementioned Union country shall apply the provisions of the most recent Act to which that Union country is a party in its relations with them.

Deze Akte vervangt in de betrekkingen tussen de landen, voor welke zij van toepassing is en voor zover zij van toepassing is, het Verdrag van Parijs van 20 maart 1883 en de daarop gevolgd zijnde Akten van herziening.

a).

Voor de landen voor welke deze Akte niet of niet in haar geheel van toepassing is, doch voor wie de Akte van Lissabon van 31 oktober 1958 van toepassing is, blijft deze laatste van kracht in haar geheel, of voor zover de onderhavige Akte haar niet krachtens het eerste lid vervangt.

b).

Op dezelfde wijze blijft, voor de landen voor welke deze Akte, of gedeelten daarvan, of de Akte van Lissabon niet van toepassing is, de Akte van Londen van 2 juni 1934 van kracht in haar geheel, of voor zover de onderhavige Akte haar niet krachtens het eerste lid vervangt.

c).

Op dezelfde wijze blijft, voor de landen voor welke noch deze Akte, of gedeelten daarvan, noch de Akte van Lissabon noch de Akte van Londen van toepassing is, de Akte van 's-Gravenhage van 6 november 1925 van kracht in haar geheel of voor zover de onderhavige Akte haar niet krachtens het eerste lid vervangt.

Landen die geen lid zijn van de Unie, die partij worden bij deze Akte, passen deze toe ten aanzien van elk Unie-land dat geen partij is bij deze Akte of dat, wel partij zijnde, de verklaring bedoeld in artikel 20, eerste lid, onder letter b) sub i), heeft afgelegd. Deze landen stemmen ermede in dat het genoemde Unieland in zijn betrekkingen met hen de bepalingen toepast van de meest recente Akte waarbij dat Unie-land partij is.
