This Act and the provisions based thereon shall apply to the wholly or partly automated processing of personal data, as well as to the processing of personal data contained in a filing system or intended to be included therein.
By way of derogation from the first paragraph, this Act shall not apply to the processing of personal data insofar as the Persons Database Act (Wet basisregistratie personen), the Electoral Act (Kieswet) or the Advisory Referendum Act (Wet raadgevend referendum) applies thereto.
Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 3, this Act does not apply to the processing of personal data as referred to in Article 2(2) of the Regulation.
Deze wet en de daarop berustende bepalingen zijn van toepassing op de geheel of gedeeltelijk geautomatiseerde verwerking van persoonsgegevens, alsmede op de verwerking van persoonsgegevens die in een bestand zijn opgenomen of die bestemd zijn om daarin te worden opgenomen.
In afwijking van het eerste lid, is deze wet niet van toepassing op de verwerking van persoonsgegevens voor zover daarop de Wet basisregistratie personen, de Kieswet of de Wet raadgevend referendum van toepassing is.
Behoudens het bepaalde in artikel 3, is deze wet niet van toepassing op de verwerking van persoonsgegevens, bedoeld in artikel 2, tweede lid, van de verordening.
