Article 1

For the purposes of this Act and the provisions based thereon, the following definitions shall apply:
special categories of personal data: the categories of personal data referred to in Article 9(1) of the Regulation
Our Minister: Our Minister for Legal Protection;
personal data of a criminal nature: personal data relating to criminal convictions and criminal offences or related security measures as referred to in Article 10 of the Regulation, as well as personal data relating to a prohibition imposed by the court in response to unlawful or nuisance-causing conduct;
Regulation: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (OJ EU 2016, L 119).
In deze wet en de daarop berustende bepalingen wordt verstaan onder:
bijzondere categorieën van persoonsgegevens: de categorieën van persoonsgegevens, bedoeld in artikel 9, eerste lid, van de verordening
Onze Minister: Onze Minister voor Rechtsbescherming;
persoonsgegevens van strafrechtelijke aard: persoonsgegevens betreffende strafrechtelijke veroordelingen en strafbare feiten of daarmee verband houdende veiligheidsmaatregelen als bedoeld in artikel 10 van de verordening, alsmede persoonsgegevens betreffende een door de rechter opgelegd verbod naar aanleiding van onrechtmatig of hinderlijk gedrag;
verordening: verordening (EU) 2016/679 van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 27 april 2016 betreffende de bescherming van natuurlijke personen in verband met verwerking van persoonsgegevens en betreffende het vrije verkeer van die gegevens en tot intrekking van Richtlijn 95/46/EG (algemene verordening gegevensbescherming) (PbEU 2016, L 119).
