In this Chapter and the provisions based thereon, the following definitions apply:
consumer: a natural person who acquires an electronic communications service for purposes other than those relating to his trade, business, craft, or professional activity;
service provider: a natural or legal person who provides an electronic communications service on the Union market or offers to provide a service to consumers in the Union;
electronic communications service: electronic communications service within the meaning of Article 2, point 4, of Directive (EU) 2018/1972, with the exception of transmission services used for the provision of machine-to-machine services;
Directive (EU) 2019/882: Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services (OJ EU 2019, L 151).
In dit hoofdstuk en de daarop berustende bepalingen wordt verstaan onder:
consument: natuurlijke persoon die een elektronische communicatiedienst afneemt voor andere doeleinden dan zijn handels-, bedrijfs-, ambachts-, of beroepsactiviteit;
dienstverlener: natuurlijke of rechtspersoon die een elektronische communicatiedienst verleent op de markt van de Unie of aanbiedt consumenten in de Unie een dienst te verlenen;
elektronische communicatiedienst: dienst voor elektronische communicatie in de zin van artikel 2, punt 4, van richtlijn (EU) 2018/1972, met uitzondering van transmissiediensten die voor de levering van machine-to-machinediensten worden gebruikt;
richtlijn (EU) 2019/882: Richtlijn (EU) 2019/882 van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 17 april 2019 betreffende de toegankelijkheidsvoorschriften voor producten en diensten (PbEU 2019, L 151).
