in forceSUPERVISORY COMMITTEE AND COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE
For every institution, there shall be a supervisory committee, the members of which are appointed for a term of five years. They may be eligible for reappointment twice.
The committee shall consist of at least six and at most a number of members to be determined by Our Minister.
The supervisory committee shall be composed as broadly as possible. Each committee shall in any event include:
a member of the judiciary charged with the administration of justice;
a psychiatrist;
a behavioural expert with knowledge of intramural care for the mentally disordered;
a lawyer.
Bij elke inrichting is een commissie van toezicht waarvan de leden worden benoemd voor de tijd van vijf jaren. Zij kunnen tweemaal voor herbenoeming in aanmerking komen.
De commissie bestaat uit ten minste zes en ten hoogste een door Onze Minister vast te stellen aantal leden.
De commissie van toezicht is zo breed mogelijk samengesteld. Van elke commissie maken in elk geval deel uit:
een met rechtspraak belast lid van de rechterlijke macht;
een psychiater;
een gedragsdeskundige met kennis van de intramurale zorg voor geestelijk gestoorden;
een advocaat.
