Article 1

For the purposes of this Act and the provisions based thereon, the following definitions shall apply:
registrar: registrar of the Service;
authentic data: data recorded in a basic register which has been designated as authentic by statutory provision;
basic registration: a collection of data which has been designated by law as constituting a basic registration;
custodian: custodian as referred to in Article 6;
source document:
a document registered in the public registers or otherwise held by the Service, or
decision or a certified copy thereof;
Basic Registration Topography catalogue: Basic Registration Topography catalogue as referred to in Article 98a, paragraph 3;
Service: The Land Registry and Mapping Agency (Dienst voor het kadaster en de openbare registers) as referred to in Article 2 of the Cadastre Organisation Act (Organisatiewet Kadaster);
Geographical data
the geographical object referred to in Article 98a, paragraph 2;
identifying object number as referred to in Article 98a, paragraph 3, or another identifying characteristic equated thereto in the Basisregistratie Topografie (basic register of topography) catalogue, which is assigned to the relevant geographical object, or
other characteristic as referred to in Article 98a, paragraph 3, which is mentioned in the Basic Registration Topography catalogue;
cadastral boundary: the boundary between parcels determined by the Service on the basis of information provided by interested parties and through the use of the documents referred to in Article 50;
cadastral area: indicative size of a plot, calculated by the Agency;
cadastral map: cadastral map as referred to in Article 48, paragraph 3;
Our Minister: Our Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning;
public registers: public registers as referred to in Article 16 of Book 3 of the Civil Code in conjunction with Article 8, paragraph 1;
plot: a part of the Netherlands territory identified by cadastral registration and bounded by cadastral boundaries;
legal person: private law or public law legal person, including the public partnership with legal personality;
registration: registration or basic registration.
The definitions included in Articles 1, 2, 3, paragraph 1, 8 and 10 of Book 3, and Articles 1, 2, 3, 3a, 190 and 780 of Book 8 of the Civil Code also apply to the present Act.
In deze wet en de daarop berustende bepalingen wordt verstaan onder:
ambtenaar: ambtenaar van de Dienst;
authentiek gegeven: in een basisregistratie opgenomen gegeven dat bij wettelijk voorschrift als authentiek is aangemerkt;
basisregistratie: verzameling gegevens, waarvan bij wet is bepaald dat deze een basisregistratie vormt;
bewaarder: bewaarder als bedoeld in artikel 6;
brondocument:
in de openbare registers ingeschreven of anderszins door de Dienst gehouden document, of
besluit of gewaarmerkt afschrift daarvan;
catalogus basisregistratie topografie: catalogus basisregistratie topografie als bedoeld in artikel 98a, derde lid;
Dienst: Dienst voor het kadaster en de openbare registers als bedoeld in artikel 2 van de Organisatiewet Kadaster;
geografisch gegeven:
in artikel 98a, tweede lid, genoemd geografisch object;
identificerend objectnummer als bedoeld in artikel 98a, derde lid, of een ander in de catalogus basisregistratie topografie daarmee gelijkgesteld identificerend kenmerk, dat aan het betreffende geografisch object wordt toegekend, of
ander kenmerk als bedoeld in artikel 98a, derde lid, dat in de catalogus basisregistratie topografie wordt genoemd;
kadastrale grens: op basis van inlichtingen van belanghebbenden en met gebruikmaking van de bescheiden, bedoeld in artikel 50, door de Dienst vastgestelde grens tussen percelen;
kadastrale grootte: indicatieve omvang van een perceel, berekend door de Dienst;
kadastrale kaart: kadastrale kaart als bedoeld in artikel 48, derde lid;
Onze Minister: Onze Minister van Volkshuisvesting en Ruimtelijke Ordening;
openbare registers: openbare registers als bedoeld in artikel 16 van Boek 3 van het Burgerlijk Wetboek juncto artikel 8, eerste lid;
perceel: kadastraal geïdentificeerd en met kadastrale grenzen begrensd deel van het Nederlands grondgebied;
rechtspersoon: privaatrechtelijke of publiekrechtelijke rechtspersoon, met inbegrip van de openbare vennootschap met rechtspersoonlijkheid;
registratie: registratie of basisregistratie.
De begripsomschrijvingen, opgenomen in de artikelen 1, 2, 3, eerste lid, 8 en 10 van Boek 3, de artikelen 1, 2, 3, 3a, 190 en 780 van Boek 8 van het Burgerlijk Wetboek en, gelden ook voor de onderhavige wet.
