Before acting in legal proceedings, the mentor may, for his own accountability, be authorised by the person concerned or, if the latter is unable or unwilling to do so, by the subdistrict court (kantonrechter).
De mentor kan alvorens in rechte op te treden zich te zijner verantwoording doen machtigen door de betrokkene of, indien deze daartoe niet in staat of weigerachtig is, door de kantonrechter.
