The petitioner shall submit with his petition the civic integration diploma or certificate referred to in Article 5, paragraph 1, of the Civic Integration Examination Decree (Besluit naturalisatietoets), unless Article 3 or 4 of the Civic Integration Examination Decree applies.
Before the petition is taken into consideration, the Minister of Foreign Affairs shall examine the payment obligation of the petitioner in accordance with the Decree on Option and Naturalisation Fees 2002 (Besluit optie- en naturalisatiegelden 2002). Unless the petitioner qualifies for an exemption or a full waiver, he shall pay the naturalisation fee due under the Decree on Option and Naturalisation Fees 2002 upon the submission of his petition.
De verzoeker legt bij zijn verzoek het in artikel 5, eerste lid, van het Besluit naturalisatietoets, bedoelde inburgeringsdiploma of certificaat over, tenzij artikel 3 of 4 van het Besluit naturalisatietoets van toepassing is.
Alvorens het verzoek in behandeling genomen wordt, onderzoekt de Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken de betalingsverplichting van de verzoeker overeenkomstig het Besluit optie- en naturalisatiegelden 2002. Tenzij de verzoeker voor vrijstelling of gehele ontheffing in aanmerking komt, betaalt hij bij de indiening van zijn verzoek het volgens het Besluit optie- en naturalisatiegelden 2002 verschuldigde naturalisatiegeld.
