Our Minister of Foreign Affairs shall receive petitions for naturalisation at the diplomatic or consular post in the district where the petitioner for naturalisation has his principal residence.
He shall likewise process the petitions for naturalisation of persons who reside abroad and have no principal residence anywhere in the world.
The persons referred to in the first and second paragraphs shall receive a copy of their naturalisation petition.
Naturalisation petitions from persons other than those mentioned in the first and second paragraphs shall not be considered by him.
Petitions for naturalisation shall, upon receipt, be provided with a date and an official stamp.
Onze Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken neemt naturalisatieverzoeken in ontvangst op de diplomatieke of consulaire post in het ressort waar de verzoeker om naturalisatie zijn hoofdverblijf heeft.
Hij neemt eveneens de naturalisatieverzoeken in behandeling van personen die verblijf hebben in het buitenland en nergens ter wereld hun hoofdverblijf hebben.
De in het eerste en tweede lid bedoelde personen ontvangen een afschrift van hun naturalisatieverzoek.
Naturalisatieverzoeken van andere personen dan die genoemd in het eerste en tweede lid worden door hem niet in behandeling genomen.
Naturalisatieverzoeken worden bij ontvangst voorzien van een datum en een dienststempel.
