The following are authorised to receive option declarations and naturalisation petitions, and to issue extracts of naturalisation decrees
in the European part of the Netherlands: the mayors;
in the public bodies: Our Minister and, for the purpose of issuing extracts of naturalisation decrees and of the confirmation of the acquisition of Dutch nationality as referred to in Article 60a, paragraph 1, the island governors (gezaghebbers);
in Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten: the Governor of Aruba, of Curaçao or of Sint Maarten, respectively;
abroad: the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Tot het in ontvangst nemen van optieverklaringen en naturalisatieverzoeken en tot het uitreiken van uittreksels van naturalisatiebesluiten zijn bevoegd
in het Europese deel van Nederland: de burgemeesters;
in de openbare lichamen: Onze Minister en, tot het uitreiken van uittreksels van naturalisatiebesluiten en van de bevestiging van de verkrijging van het Nederlanderschap als bedoeld in artikel 60a, eerste lid,de gezaghebbers;
in Aruba, Curaçao en Sint Maarten: de Gouverneur van Aruba, van Curaçao onderscheidenlijk van Sint Maarten;
in het buitenland: de Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken.
