Article 1

In this decree, the following definitions shall apply:
Our Minister: Our Minister of Justice in his capacity as Minister of the Kingdom;
Kingdom Act: the Kingdom Act on Netherlands Nationality (Rijkswet op het Nederlanderschap);
option: acquisition of Netherlands nationality, as referred to in Chapter 3 and in Article 28 of the Kingdom Act on Netherlands Nationality, as well as in Article V, paragraph 1 of the Kingdom Act of 21 December 2000, Stb. 618, amending the Kingdom Act on Netherlands Nationality;
naturalisation: the granting of Netherlands citizenship, as referred to in Chapter 4 of the Kingdom Act on Netherlands Nationality;
revocation: revocation of the Dutch nationality, as referred to in Chapter 5 of the Kingdom Act on the Dutch Nationality;
basisadministratie:
the personal records database (basisregistratie personen), as referred to in the Personal Records Database Act (Wet basisregistratie personen),
the personal records database established by the Personal Records Database Act BES, or
the personal records database established by national ordinance in Aruba, Curaçao or Sint Maarten;
resident: he who is registered as such in the personal records database;
public body: the public bodies of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba.
In dit besluit wordt verstaan onder:
Onze Minister: Onze Minister van Justitie in zijn hoedanigheid van minister van het Koninkrijk;
Rijkswet: de Rijkswet op het Nederlanderschap;
optie: verkrijging van het Nederlanderschap, als bedoeld in hoofdstuk 3 en in artikel 28 van de Rijkswet op het Nederlanderschap, alsmede in artikel V, eerste lid van de Rijkswet van 21 december 2000, Stb. 618, tot wijziging van de Rijkswet op het Nederlanderschap;
naturalisatie: verlening van het Nederlanderschap, als bedoeld in hoofdstuk 4 van de Rijkswet op het Nederlanderschap;
intrekking: intrekking van het Nederlanderschap, als bedoeld in hoofdstuk 5 van de Rijkswet op het Nederlanderschap;
basisadministratie:
de basisregistratie personen, bedoeld in de Wet basisregistratie personen,
de bij Wet basisadministratie persoonsgegevens BES ingestelde basisadministratie persoonsgegevens, of
de bij landsverordening in Aruba, Curaçao of Sint Maarten ingestelde basisadministratie persoonsgegevens;
ingezetene: hij die als zodanig is ingeschreven in de basisadministratie;
openbaar lichaam: de openbare lichamen Bonaire, Sint Eustatius en Saba.
