Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 43g, this chapter applies to originals of works of art which, on 1 January 2006, are protected by national copyright legislation in at least one Member State of the European Union or a State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area of 2 May 1992.
Onverminderd het bepaalde in artikel 43g is dit hoofdstuk van toepassing op originelen van kunstwerken die op 1 januari 2006 in ten minste één lidstaat van de Europese Unie of een staat die partij is bij de Overeenkomst betreffende de Europese Economische Ruimte van 2 mei 1992 beschermd worden door de nationale wetgeving op het gebied van het auteursrecht.
