The Employee Insurance Agency (Uitvoeringsinstituut werknemersverzekeringen) shall suspend the payment of sickness benefit if the person to whom sickness benefit has been granted is a foreign national who does not have lawful residence in the Netherlands as referred to in Article 8 of the Aliens Act 2000 (Vreemdelingenwet 2000).
Payment of the sickness benefit shall be resumed if the person concerned submits an application to that effect and it has appeared to the Employee Insurance Agency (Uitvoeringsinstituut werknemersverzekeringen) that he actually resides or stays outside the Netherlands.
Het Uitvoeringsinstituut werknemersverzekeringen schort de betaling van het ziekengeld op indien degene aan wie ziekengeld is toegekend een vreemdeling is die niet rechtmatig in Nederland verblijf houdt als bedoeld in artikel 8 van de Vreemdelingenwet 2000.
De betaling van het ziekengeld wordt hervat indien betrokkene daartoe een aanvraag indient en het het Uitvoeringsinstituut werknemersverzekeringen is gebleken dat hij feitelijk buiten Nederland woont of verblijf houdt.
