Article 20b

An institution shall not prejudice a person who works for it and who, in good faith and in due performance of their duties on behalf of the institution, submits a report to the Financial Intelligence Unit as referred to in Article 16, paragraph 1, provides data or information to the Financial Intelligence Unit as referred to in Article 17, paragraph 1, or reports an infringement of the provisions of this Act internally within the institution as referred to in Article 20a, paragraph 1.
Without prejudice to the first paragraph, the persons referred to in the first paragraph who, in connection with a report as referred to in Article 16, paragraph 1, or 20a, paragraph 1, have been subjected to detriment as referred to in the first paragraph, may submit a complaint to the supervisory authority by means of the mechanisms referred to in Article 20a, paragraph 2.
Een instelling mag een persoon die voor haar werkzaam is en die te goeder trouw en naar behoren namens de instelling aan de Financiële inlichtingen eenheid een melding doet als bedoeld in artikel 16, eerste lid, aan de Financiële inlichtingen eenheid gegevens of inlichtingen verstrekt als bedoeld in artikel 17, eerste lid, of intern binnen de instelling een overtreding van het in deze wet bepaalde meldt als bedoeld in artikel 20a, eerste lid, niet benadelen.
Onverminderd het eerste lid kunnen de in het eerste lid bedoelde personen die in verband met een melding als bedoeld in artikel 16, eerste lid, of 20a, eerste lid, zijn blootgesteld aan benadeling als bedoeld in het eerste lid, door middel van de in artikel 20a, tweede lid, bedoelde mechanismen een klacht indienen bij de toezichthoudende autoriteit.
