The civil-law notary is obliged to maintain an office in the place of establishment stated in the decree of his appointment and to keep his protocol there.
The civil-law notary may not, except insofar as otherwise provided by law or by judicial decision, part with his protocol or any part thereof.
The civil-law notary is obliged to keep his protocol in an orderly manner in a place protected against fire and other hazards.
De notaris is verplicht kantoor te houden in de plaats van vestiging die in het besluit van zijn benoeming is vermeld en aldaar zijn protocol te bewaren.
De notaris mag, behoudens voor zover in de wet of bij rechterlijke beslissing anders is bepaald, zijn protocol of een onderdeel daarvan niet uit handen geven.
De notaris is verplicht zijn protocol op ordelijke wijze te bewaren op een tegen brand en andere gevaren beveiligde plaats.
