In cases brought before the subdistrict court (kantonrechter), the Public Prosecution Service is authorised to summon witnesses, experts, and interpreters orally, or to have them summoned orally by a police officer appointed for the execution of police duties, or by another official or functionary, insofar as that official or functionary has been designated for this purpose by Our Minister of Security and Justice, to appear at the hearing of the subdistrict court.
Het openbaar ministerie is in zaken die voor de kantonrechter worden gebracht, bevoegd getuigen, deskundigen en tolken mondeling op te roepen of door een ambtenaar van politie, aangesteld voor de uitvoering van de politietaak, dan wel een andere ambtenaar of functionaris, voor zover die ambtenaar of functionaris door Onze Minister van Veiligheid en Justitie daartoe is aangewezen, mondeling te doen oproepen om ter terechtzitting van de kantonrechter te verschijnen.
