For the purposes of this Act, investigation shall be understood to mean the inquiry in connection with criminal offences under the authority of the public prosecutor with the aim of taking decisions regarding criminal proceedings.
Onder opsporing wordt verstaan het onderzoek in verband met strafbare feiten onder gezag van de officier van justitie met als doel het nemen van strafvorderlijke beslissingen.
