If this is urgently necessary in the interest of the investigation, the examining magistrate may order that the witness brought along in accordance with the preceding article be held in custody for a period not exceeding twenty-four hours in a place to be designated by him.
The order shall state the reasons that have led to the remand in custody.
Indien dit in het belang van het onderzoek dringend noodzakelijk is, kan de rechter-commissaris bevelen dat de overeenkomstig het voorgaande artikel medegebrachte getuige gedurende ten hoogste vier en twintig uren in eene door hem aan te wijzen plaats in verzekering zal worden gesteld.
Het bevel vermeldt de redenen die tot de inverzekeringstelling hebben geleid.
