Every holder of a bill of exchange has the right to make copies thereof.
The copy must accurately reproduce the original with the endorsements and all other statements appearing thereon. It must indicate where the copy ends.
It may be endorsed and signed for aval in the same manner and with the same effects as the original.
Elke houder van eenen wisselbrief heeft het recht, daarvan afschriften te vervaardigen.
Het afschrift moet het oorspronkelijke nauwkeurig weergeven met de endossementen en alle andere vermeldingen, die er op voorkomen. Het moet aangeven, waar het afschrift ophoudt.
Het kan worden geëndosseerd en voor aval geteekend op dezelfde wijze en met dezelfde gevolgen, als het oorspronkelijke.
