The drawer is obliged to give timely notice or advice to the drawee of the bill of exchange drawn by him, and, in default thereof, is bound to compensate the costs incurred on that account due to refusal of acceptance or payment.
De trekker is verplicht aan den betrokkene tijdig kennis of advies te geven van den door hem getrokken wisselbrief, en, bij nalatigheid daarvan, gehouden tot vergoeding van de kosten, door weigering van acceptatie of betaling uit dien hoofde gevallen.
