Drivers who intend to turn may pre-sort by:
if they intend to turn right, they shall, in good time, position themselves as far to the right as possible;
if they wish to turn left, to drive as far as possible towards the axis of the road in good time, or, in the case of carriageways intended for drivers in one direction, to keep as far to the left as possible on that carriageway.
Before turning, drivers must give a signal with their direction indicator or with their arm.
Bestuurders die willen afslaan, mogen voorsorteren door:
indien zij naar rechts willen afslaan tijdig zoveel mogelijk aan de rechterzijde te gaan rijden;
indien zij naar links willen afslaan tijdig zoveel mogelijk tegen de wegas te rijden of bij rijbanen bestemd voor bestuurders in één richting daarop zoveel mogelijk links te houden.
Bestuurders moeten alvorens af te slaan een teken met hun richtingaanwijzer of met hun arm geven.
