An agreement providing that arbitration shall take place outside the Netherlands does not prevent a party from petitioning the Dutch court for a measure to preserve rights or from applying to the relief judge (voorzieningenrechter) of the district court or the cantonal judge (kantonrechter) in summary proceedings (kort geding) in accordance with Article 254.
De overeenkomst waaruit voortvloeit dat arbitrage buiten Nederland moet plaatsvinden, belet niet dat een partij de Nederlandse rechter verzoekt om een maatregel tot bewaring van recht of zich wendt tot de voorzieningenrechter van de rechtbank of de kantonrechter in kort geding overeenkomstig artikel 254.
