Without prejudice to the provisions of other statutory regulations, the Service has the following objectives:
the promotion of legal certainty with regard to registered property:
in legal transactions;
in the course of a trade or business;
in administrative dealings between citizens and administrative authorities;
the promotion of an efficient geo-information infrastructure;
an efficient provision of information by the government for the purpose of the proper performance of public law tasks and the compliance with statutory obligations by administrative bodies, and
support and promotion of economic activities.
De Dienst heeft, onverminderd het bepaalde in andere wettelijke voorschriften, als doeleinden:
de bevordering van de rechtszekerheid ten aanzien van registergoederen:
in het rechtsverkeer;
in het economisch verkeer;
in het bestuurlijk verkeer tussen burgers en bestuursorganen;
de bevordering van een doelmatige geo-informatie-infrastructuur;
een doelmatige informatievoorziening van de overheid ten behoeve van de goede vervulling van publiekrechtelijke taken en de nakoming van wettelijke verplichtingen door bestuursorganen, en
ondersteuning en bevordering van de economische activiteiten.
