in forceIt is prohibited to perform acts with gametes or embryos with the purpose of being able to choose the sex of a future child.
The prohibition referred to in the first paragraph shall not apply if, according to scientifically sound medical insight, there is a risk of a serious sex-linked hereditary disorder in the child and the acts take place for the prevention thereof. The prohibition referred to in the first paragraph shall also not apply if, according to scientifically sound medical insight, there is a risk of a serious hereditary disorder with an unequal sex incidence in the child and the acts take place for the reduction of that risk.
It is prohibited to offer services consisting of acts prohibited in this Article.
Het is verboden handelingen met geslachtscellen of embryo's te verrichten met het oogmerk het geslacht van een toekomstig kind te kunnen kiezen.
Het verbod, bedoeld in het eerste lid, is niet van toepassing indien naar wetenschappelijk verantwoord medisch inzicht het risico bestaat op een ernstige geslachtsgebonden erfelijke aandoening bij het kind en de handelingen plaatsvinden ter voorkoming daarvan. Het verbod, bedoeld in het eerste lid, is ook niet van toepassing indien naar wetenschappelijk verantwoord medisch inzicht het risico bestaat op een ernstige erfelijke aandoening met een ongelijke geslachtsincidentie bij het kind en de handelingen plaatsvinden ter verkleining van dat risico.
Het is verboden diensten aan te bieden bestaande uit handelingen, verboden in dit artikel.
