Divorce is pronounced upon the petition of one of the spouses, if the marriage has irretrievably broken down (duurzaam ontwricht).

Echtscheiding wordt op verzoek van één der echtgenoten uitgesproken, indien het huwelijk duurzaam ontwricht is.
