The Governor shall process petitions for naturalisation from persons who are registered as residents in the basic records (basisadministratie) of Aruba, Curaçao or Sint Maarten, respectively.
He shall also consider naturalisation petitions from persons who, pursuant to statutory regulations, do not qualify for registration as a resident in the personal records database, provided they have their principal residence in Aruba, Curaçao or Sint Maarten, respectively.
He shall, furthermore, receive petitions for naturalisation from persons who have their residence in Aruba, Curaçao or Sint Maarten respectively, and who have their habitual residence nowhere in the world.
The persons referred to in the first, second and third paragraphs shall receive a copy of their petition for naturalisation.
Naturalisation petitions from persons other than those mentioned in the first, second, and third paragraphs shall not be considered by him.
Naturalisation petitions shall be provided with a date and an official stamp upon receipt.
De Gouverneur neemt naturalisatieverzoeken in behandeling van personen die als ingezetenen zijn ingeschreven in de basisadministratie van Aruba, Curaçao onderscheidenlijk Sint Maarten.
Hij neemt tevens in behandeling naturalisatieverzoeken van personen die ingevolge wettelijke voorschriften niet voor inschrijving als ingezetene in de basisadministratie in aanmerking komen, indien zij hoofdverblijf hebben in Aruba, Curaçao onderscheidenlijk Sint Maarten.
Hij neemt bovendien in ontvangst naturalisatieverzoeken van personen die in Aruba, Curaçao onderscheidenlijk Sint Maarten verblijf hebben en nergens ter wereld hun hoofdverblijf.
De in het eerste, tweede en derde lid genoemde personen ontvangen een afschrift van hun naturalisatieverzoek.
Naturalisatieverzoeken van andere personen dan die, genoemd in het eerste, tweede en derde lid, worden door hem niet in behandeling genomen.
Naturalisatieverzoeken worden bij ontvangst voorzien van een datum en een dienststempel.
