After Our Minister of Foreign Affairs has established that the requirements set for the option have been met, he shall notify the optant in writing of the manner in which the confirmation of the acquisition of Netherlands citizenship will be announced, stating the names of the persons who will be included in this announcement. He shall simultaneously notify in respect of which persons he refuses the confirmation, stating the period within which an objection may be lodged against his decision.
The confirmation states the name, place of residence and date of birth of the declarant (optant) and of the persons who share in the acquisition.
By regulation of Our Minister, after consultation with Our Minister of Foreign Affairs, rules shall be established concerning the manner in which the confirmation of the acquisition of Netherlands nationality is notified to the optant, and rules may be established concerning the collection of the residence documents issued by the competent authorities in the Kingdom of the optant and of the persons who share in the acquisition.
If the notification of the confirmation is effected by service, Chapter IIIA, with the exception of the provisions of Article 60a, paragraph 4, shall apply thereto.
Nadat Onze Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken heeft vastgesteld dat voldaan is aan de vereisten, die aan de optie zijn gesteld, bericht hij de optant schriftelijk de wijze waarop de bevestiging van de verkrijging van het Nederlanderschap bekendgemaakt zal worden onder vermelding van de namen van de personen die in deze bekendmaking betrokken zullen zijn. Hij bericht gelijktijdig ten aanzien van welke personen hij de bevestiging weigert onder vermelding van de termijn waarbinnen tegen zijn besluit bezwaar gemaakt kan worden.
De bevestiging vermeldt de naam, woonplaats en geboortedatum van de optant en van de personen die in de verkrijging delen.
Bij regeling van Onze Minister worden, na overleg met Onze Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, regels gesteld betreffende de wijze waarop de bevestiging van de verkrijging van het Nederlanderschap aan de optant wordt bekendgemaakt, en kunnen regels gesteld worden betreffende de inname van de door de bevoegde autoriteiten in het Koninkrijk afgegeven verblijfsdocumenten van de optant en van de personen die in de verkrijging delen.
Indien de bekendmaking van de bevestiging door uitreiking geschiedt, is daarop hoofdstuk IIIA, met uitzondering van het gestelde in artikel 60a, vierde lid, van toepassing.
