If a conduct of a representative in the exercise of the powers granted to him as such constitutes a fault towards a third party, the person represented is also liable towards the third party.
Indien een gedraging van een vertegenwoordiger ter uitoefening van de hem als zodanig toekomende bevoegdheden een fout jegens een derde inhoudt, is ook de vertegenwoordigde jegens de derde aansprakelijk.
